Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 July 2026
This policy explains what CourtShot collects, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have kept it to what the product actually does today — where something is not built yet, we say so rather than promising it.
Who we are
CourtShot is a court-booking marketplace operating in Pakistan. We connect players with sports venues — padel, badminton, squash, tennis, pickleball, cricket and more — and give venues the tools to manage their bookings, including their own branded booking pages.
We are the booking platform. The court, the coaching, the facilities and the play itself are provided by the venue you book with, not by us.
CourtShot is a sole proprietorship registered in Pakistan, operated by Muhammad Akbar Khan, at Lake City, Lahore, Pakistan.
What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Account details — your name, email address and phone number when you sign up, plus anything you choose to add later: a profile photo, your city, and your skill level and play style for each sport.
- Booking details — which court you booked, when, for which sport, the price, and the status of the booking (held, confirmed, cancelled, refunded, credited).
- Payment proof — the screenshot you upload to show a venue you have paid. It is stored privately and shown only to that venue and, where needed, to our support team.
- Messages — the messages you send in match group chats and in direct messages to other players.
- Community activity — the matches you host or join, the players and venues you follow, and any players you block.
- Safety reports — reports you make about another player or a message, including the reason you chose and anything you write in your own words.
- Technical data — the information your browser or device sends when you use the site (such as IP address and browser type) and error diagnostics when something breaks, which we use to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
We use your information to run your bookings, keep your account secure, show you and other players the parts of your profile you have chosen to make public, let you find and message other players, and keep the platform safe.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Payments and money
You pay the venue directly — by bank transfer, or however that venue accepts payment — and upload a screenshot as proof. CourtShot does not process your payment, does not hold your booking money at any point, and never asks for or stores your card number, CVV, bank login or any other payment credential.
Because the money never passes through us, any refund is arranged between you and the venue. CourtShot records the outcome of a cancellation (refund, booking credit, or reschedule) so both sides have the same record, but the refund itself is paid by the venue.
We separately bill venues a commission on their bookings. That is a business arrangement between CourtShot and the venue; it does not involve your payment details.
Who else sees your information
Your information is shared only in these situations:
- The venue you book with sees your name, phone number and booking details, plus your payment proof — it needs these to hold your court and recognise you when you arrive.
- Other players see only your public profile: your name, photo if you added one, city, and your level and play style. They never see your email address or phone number through the platform.
- Players in a match you join, or a player you are in a direct conversation with, see the messages you send them.
- Service providers that run the platform for us — our hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, and error monitoring providers — process data strictly on our instructions.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or where it is genuinely necessary to protect someone from harm.
Messages, reports and safety review
Messages you send on the platform are private between you and the people in that conversation. Our staff cannot browse them casually — direct messages and match chats are locked to their participants.
There is one exception, and it exists so that reporting works:
- When you report a player or report a message, your report — including the message you flagged, if you reported a message — is sent to the CourtShot team for review.
- If the investigation needs it, the team may also review other messages between you and that player.
- We review messages only to investigate a report. We do not read private conversations for any other purpose.
- The player you report is not told who reported them.
- A report is a signal for a human to look at. It never automatically blocks, hides or penalises anyone.
Blocking another player
You can block another player at any time. Blocking cuts off direct messaging, following and discovery between you both, and prevents you being placed in a new match together. The person you block is not notified.
One thing blocking does not do: if you already share a match, you will still see each other in that match’s group chat. Leave the match if you would rather not.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists, and booking records for as long as we need them for our own accounting and dispute history.
Safety reports outlast the accounts involved: if an account is ever removed, its reports remain with the personal details of the people involved detached. This is deliberate — it means someone cannot erase the reports made about them by walking away from their account.
Your choices
You can edit or remove most of your profile information yourself, at any time, from your profile settings — including your photo and your sport profiles.
To ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct something, contact us at support@courtshot.com. We handle these requests by hand and will confirm when it is done.
You can delete your account from your profile settings. We will remove your name, photo, phone number, city and sport profiles, delete your messages, and permanently close your sign-in. This cannot be undone.
Some records stay, with your name taken off them. Your past bookings are also the venue’s records and part of their financial history; safety reports are kept so that a report cannot be erased by deleting an account; and matches and events you took part in remain so other players keep their own history. In each case we remove the person, not the record.
Two things to know before you delete: any unused booking credit is forfeited, and your messages disappear from other people’s conversations as well as your own.
If you own a venue, account deletion is not self-service — a venue carries bookings and payments other people depend on. Contact us at support@courtshot.com and we will take you through it.
Security
Access to your data is enforced at the database level, not just in the app: each record is readable only by the people it belongs to. Payment proof screenshots are held in private storage and shown through short-lived links rather than public URLs.
No service can promise perfect security, but if a breach ever affects your information we will tell you.
Children
CourtShot is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, use CourtShot only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will remove that child's information and stop the account being used.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you in the app.
